Description
As a Locum PA, you will work closely with oncologists and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care and support for women undergoing gynecologic cancer treatment. Your role is crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for patients, from initial consultations to ongoing management and follow-up care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in a gynecologic oncology setting
- Assist in diagnostic procedures and patient assessments
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct follow-up visits and monitor patient progress
- Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in gynecologic oncology
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Physician Assistant studies
- Current PA license and certification
- Previous experience in gynecologic oncology or related field
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Shift Times: 4 days per week, 8a-5p
Schedule: 1-2 OR days and 2-3 clinic days per week
Weekday and weekend call shifts
Setting: Outpatient clinic and OR
Daily Volume: 14 patients
Duties: Daily oversight for gyn onc chemo patients, triage patient concerns, review lab and imaging results, clear labs and EKGs for surgery, and inpatient consults and rounding
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
