**Core Responsibilities:**
- Execute routine diagnostic radiological procedures in alignment with the Technical Order (TO) requirements.
- Comply with radiation safety protocols and procedures as outlined in the Radiology Department's guidelines.
- Transmit appropriate image series to the radiologist for interpretation, adhering to Military Treatment Facility (MTF) standards.
- Accurately position patients for imaging and make necessary technical adjustments tailored to the specific examination. Assess whether specialized patient preparation is required.
- Process digital images and facilitate submission for the radiologist's review.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all procedures and uphold records in accordance with MTF policies.
- Conduct system calibrations and quality control tasks as mandated by both the manufacturer and MTF standards, as directed.
- Identify artifacts and equipment anomalies, promptly notifying designated Government personnel of deviations from expected values.
- Initiate repair protocols for equipment malfunctions by alerting the appropriate Government representatives. -
Report technical issues to the Biomedical Repair Section and meticulously document the conditions in the trouble call logbook.
- Monitor and communicate any symptoms that may impact the patient's condition resulting from adverse reactions to contrast agents, and notify the radiologist of any conditions necessitating intervention.
- Recognize and implement emergency protocols for scenarios requiring resuscitation due to cardiac or respiratory failure.
**Schedule:** - 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, operational hours from 0600 to 1800.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Graduation from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
- **Experience:** A minimum of one year of experience within the last two years in a Mammography Technologist role.
- **Certification:** Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- **Life Support Certification:** Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification is required.
- **Security Clearance:** Capability to successfully pass a Government background check/security clearance.
