This full-time, on-site position presents an exceptional opportunity for a passionate healthcare professional to make a significant impact in the field of cardiology.
As a Cardiology physician , you will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, diagnosing and treating various heart conditions. You will work closely with a team of skilled healthcare providers to deliver top-notch patient care and contribute to innovative treatment plans that enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients' cardiovascular health
- Diagnose and treat heart conditions, including arrhythmias and heart failure
- Develop personalized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms and stress tests
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care
- Educate patients on cardiovascular health and preventive measures
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiology and medical practices
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to academic publications as needed
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Cardiology or eligibility for board certification
- Strong clinical skills and experience in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current in the field
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shifts
- No call requirement
- 50% administrative, 50% general cardiology practice (echos/clinic)
- Will oversee and manage the cardiovascular disease fellowship and work with the subspecialty program directors
- Will directly oversee two cardiovascular disease Associate Program Directors
- 40 cardiovascular disease fellows in the program
- 3 interventional cardiology, 3 EP, 2 AHF, 2 hypertension, 1 structural, and 1 advanced imaging fellow in the system per year
- EMR: Epic
- ~10+ years of general or AHF cardiology experience preferred
- Must have program director or associate program director experience
- Spanish-speakers preferred, but not required
- Must be board-certified
