As a Critical Care Physician, you will play a crucial role in managing life-threatening conditions and coordinating intensive care for patients. Your expertise will be vital in leading a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of exceptional medical care. The role involves not only clinical responsibilities but also collaboration with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care for critically ill patients
- Assess and treat patients with acute medical conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop effective care plans
- Perform procedures as necessary in intensive care settings
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Relevant board certification in Critical Care Medicine
- Experience in a critical care setting is preferred
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
- Level III Trauma Center
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7 on/7 off
Call Requirement: 2 days per month
Setting: 33-bed ICU
Daily Volume: 15-16 patients
Support Staff: APP and MD
Must be board-certified
