Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patient specimens
  • Diagnose diseases through laboratory analysis and provide accurate pathology reports
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans
  • Participate in clinical discussions and case reviews
  • Stay updated on advancements in pathology and medical research
  • Educate and mentor medical staff and students
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the practice

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Associate-level experience in pathology or related field
  • Board certification or eligibility in pathology
  • Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Call: 1 weekend day every 6 weeks, 1 weeknight every 3 weeks

Annual Volume: 2,800+ cases

Routine and complex cases of the oral cavity, larynx, oropharynx, sinonasal tract, salivary gland, and thyroid

Duties: Morphologic interpretation of tissue biopsies, immunohistochemical evaluations, molecular assays for HPV and EBV, FISH for detection of genetic alterations, molecular analysis of thyroid tumors, consultation/second opinion on complex cases

Academic position

Will work with residents, fellows, and medical students

Current Team: 4 Head & Neck Pathologists

Preferred Experience: 2+ years

Must be board-certified
