In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing diseases and managing patient care through laboratory analysis and interpretation. As a key member of our medical team, you will contribute to enhancing our pathology services, ensuring high-quality healthcare for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results to provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and safety protocols
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families about test results and treatment options
- Stay current with advancements in pathology and medical research
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and pathology residents
- Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Pathology
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using medical software and technology
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Frozen/Consult Call: 1 weekend day every 6 weeks and 1 weeknight every 3 weeks
Caseload: 40-50% administrative
Academic position
Must have leadership experience
Must have extensive experience in digital implementation
Board-certified in clinical informatics
