Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
• Provide psychotherapy and medication management
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for holistic care
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Participate in ongoing education and training
• Engage in community outreach and mental health awareness programs
• Stay updated on advancements in psychiatric practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Portsmouth
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Experience with electronic health record systems is a plus
• Familiarity with evidence-based psychiatric practices is preferred

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts

Beeper call shifts required

Setting: Onsite, 1 day remote per week

Duties: Guiding complex cases, maintaining a small patient panel, and providing medication management

Overseeing a team of PMHNPs, a staff psychiatrist, and behavioral health nurses

Will provide outpatient psychiatric care and clinical leadership

Will participate in biweekly directors’ meetings

Must be board-certified
