We are currently seeking an Associate MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Anesthesiology  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing anesthesia services to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the comfort and safety of patients before, during, and after surgery. As an Anesthesiologist, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, from administering anesthesia and monitoring patients' vital signs to developing anesthetic plans tailored to each patient's needs. Responsibilities:

  • Administer various types of anesthesia to patients based on their medical conditions and the requirements of the surgical procedure.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs throughout surgery to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Create individualized anesthetic plans for patients, taking into account factors such as medical history, allergies, and anticipated surgical outcomes.
  • Manage pain levels and sedation during procedures to keep patients comfortable and stable.
  • Respond promptly to any changes in patients' conditions or unexpected complications during surgery.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care to ensure continuity of patient management.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesia techniques and technologies to enhance practice standards.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice Anesthesiology.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia principles, techniques, and medications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Detail-oriented approach to patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in healthcare.

Flexible Scheduling: Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts

Call Requirement: 1:8 beeper call

Trauma Designation: Level II

Setting: Hospital and surgery center

Facility: 3 pod system with 18 rooms

Cases: General, ortho, gyn, neuro thoracic, GI, healthy peds, ENT, dental, nerve blocks, c-sections

Support Staff: Full subspecialty support

1:3 medical direction

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
