We are currently seeking experienced MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Anesthesiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing anesthesia services to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgery. As an Anesthesiologist , you will be responsible for administering anesthesia, monitoring patient vital signs, managing pain, and overseeing patient recovery post-surgery. Your role is essential in the operating room, as you collaborate closely with surgeons and other medical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:

  • Administer various types of anesthesia to patients based on their medical condition and the type of surgery.
  • Monitor and adjust anesthesia levels during surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Manage and alleviate pain for patients in post-operative care.
  • Assess patients' medical history and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to deliver anesthesia services.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as an Anesthesiologist.
  • Demonstrated experience in administering anesthesia in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Attention to detail and strong focus on patient safety and comfort.

Schedule: 10 or 12-hour shifts

Beeper Call: Weeknights (7:30p-7:30a) and weekends (24-hour)

Monthly Volume: 750 surgical cases

Bread & Butter Cases: Total joint, GI, general surgery, OB, neuro, cranial, urology, cancer services, ENT, endo, cardiac; no open hearts

Must be proficient in spinals/epidurals

Facility: 10 ORs, cath lab, endo lab, Level II NICU

Will primarily work independently

Care Team Model: 1:3 or 1:4 supervision

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
