We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Breast Surgery . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality medical care to patients with breast-related conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing, treating, and managing various breast health issues, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.
As an MD or DO specializing in Breast Surgery , you will be involved in a wide range of projects aimed at delivering exceptional healthcare services to individuals seeking breast-related medical assistance. Your role is vital in ensuring accurate diagnoses, effective treatment plans, and compassionate care for patients dealing with breast health concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Performing surgical procedures related to breast health, including biopsies, lumpectomies, and mastectomies.
- Conducting thorough patient consultations to assess medical history and determine appropriate treatment options.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Monitoring and evaluating patient progress post-surgery and adjusting treatment as necessary.
- Staying updated on the latest advancements in breast surgery techniques and technologies.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding breast health and treatment procedures.
- Participating in research projects and clinical trials related to breast surgery and oncology.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and protocols in the practice of breast surgery.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Breast Surgery or eligibility for certification.
- Demonstrated experience in performing breast surgical procedures with precision and expertise.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based healthcare environment.
- Detail-oriented approach to patient care and treatment planning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the field of breast surgery.
- Empathetic and compassionate demeanor towards patients facing breast health challenges.
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 9-hour days
Schedule: 1-2 clinic days and 3-4 surgery days per week
1:4 call rotation
Will split time between two facilities
Clinic Volume: 20-30 patients per day
Full subspecialty support, breast navigators, NPs, RNs, MAs, CMAs
Diagnostic imaging onsite at both facilities
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
