We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing advanced surgical care to patients with heart and lung conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in saving lives, improving patient outcomes, and advancing the field of cardiothoracic surgery. You will be involved in a variety of complex surgical procedures, research initiatives, and patient care activities.

Responsibilities:

• Performing cardiothoracic surgeries including bypass procedures, heart valve repairs, and lung resections.
• Evaluating and diagnosing patients with heart and lung diseases.
• Developing treatment plans and discussing surgical options with patients and their families.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participating in research projects and staying updated on advancements in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Providing post-operative care and monitoring patients' recovery progress.
• Training and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Demonstrated experience in performing complex cardiothoracic surgeries.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Valid medical license and necessary certifications.

About the Position:

• Scheduled: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
• Rotating call, 1:4
• Must be able to do all cardiac cases
• Established structural heart and valve team
• Support Staff: Cardiothoracic surgeons, CT-trained nurses/mid-levels
• EMR: Epic
• Board certification required
