Description

We are currently seeking an Associate MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Gastroenterology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing specialized medical care to patients with gastrointestinal issues. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing, treating, and managing various digestive disorders, contributing significantly to the well-being of our patients.

As an Associate Gastroenterologist, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, including conducting diagnostic procedures, interpreting test results, prescribing medications, and recommending lifestyle changes to improve patients' digestive health. Your role is vital in ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for individuals suffering from gastrointestinal conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies.
  • Interpreting imaging studies and laboratory tests to diagnose gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with digestive disorders.
  • Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment regimens as necessary.
  • Educating patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participating in research projects and staying updated on advancements in gastroenterology.
  • Adhering to all relevant medical standards, regulations, and ethical practices.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in performing endoscopic procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.

8-week rotating schedule

1:6 or 1:7 call rotation

Setting: Inpatient, outpatient, and call

Cases: General GI; ERCP/EUS preferred, but not required

20 MDs and 14 APPs in the group

EMR: Cerner

Will accept new grads
