We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) and DO (Osteopathic Doctor) candidates specializing in Gastroenterology As a Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating disorders related to the digestive system. Your expertise is vital in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from conducting diagnostic procedures to developing treatment plans, all aimed at improving patients' gastrointestinal health. Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations and medical examinations to assess patients' gastrointestinal health.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.
- Interpret test results and make accurate diagnoses of digestive disorders.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Gastroenterology and incorporate best practices into clinical work.
- Provide patient education on digestive health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of patient consultations, diagnoses, and treatments.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Gastroenterologist.
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the field of Gastroenterology.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call required
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Census: 20 per day
Advanced GI is a plus, but not required
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
