Description

We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) and DO (Osteopathic Doctor) candidates specializing in Gastroenterology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with digestive system disorders. Your expertise will be vital in providing high-quality medical care and improving the overall well-being of our patients. As a Gastroenterologist, you will be involved in a variety of medical projects aimed at addressing gastrointestinal issues and promoting digestive health.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting consultations and physical examinations of patients with gastrointestinal problems.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and imaging studies.
• Developing treatment plans and providing ongoing care for patients with digestive disorders.
• Performing procedures like biopsies, polyp removal, and dilation of strictures.
• Educating patients on digestive health, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participating in research studies and staying updated on advancements in Gastroenterology.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions.

Requirements:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to make sound medical decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Empathy and compassion towards patients.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

No call required

Setting: Outpatient

Patient Census: 20 per day

Advanced GI is a plus, but not required

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
