Responsibilities:

  • Conduct consultations and physical examinations of patients with gastrointestinal problems.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and imaging studies.
  • Interpret test results and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle changes to manage gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology treatments and technologies.
  • Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a Gastroenterologist.
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate diagnosis.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts

Call shifts required, fellows take first call

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

High volume of EUS and ERCP cases

Full subspecialty support

Academic position

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
