We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine. In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our community. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from conducting patient consultations to performing endoscopic procedures, all aimed at providing high-quality medical care.

As an MD or DO in Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine, your expertise is vital in managing conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux, and liver diseases. Your role  will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, staying updated on the latest medical advancements, and delivering compassionate care to patients. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct consultations with patients to assess symptoms and medical history.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify gastrointestinal issues.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients on preventive measures and lifestyle changes for gastrointestinal health.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Schedule: 7a-7p, 7 on/7 off

No call shifts

Level II Trauma

Daily Census: 10-15 admits + rounding

ERCP required

Support Staff: Hospitalists, tele-hepatologists, APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
