Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and provide expert opinions in genitourinary pathology
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in genitourinary pathology
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to patient management strategies
- Document findings and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide education and training to medical staff and trainees as needed
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards in pathology practice
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to research initiatives
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) degree
- Associate level experience in genitourinary pathology
- Board certification in pathology is preferred
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Proficiency in medical record documentation and pathology reporting
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current in the field
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Frozen/Consult Call: 1 weekend day every 6 weeks, 1 weeknight every 3 weeks
Academic position with exposure to medical students, residents, and fellows; must be active in research, articles, etc.
Team Structure: 3 additional GU pathologists
EMR: Cerner/Epic
Experience: 2+ years preferred
Must be board-certified
