We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Hematology Oncology  In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. Your expertise will be vital in providing high-quality care and improving patient outcomes. You will be involved in cutting-edge research, clinical trials, and multidisciplinary collaborations to advance the field of Hematology Oncology.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat patients with various blood disorders and cancers.
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment regimens accordingly.
  • Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field of Hematology Oncology.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Conduct research and contribute to academic publications in Hematology Oncology.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification in Hematology Oncology.
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Valid medical license and ability to practice in the state of New York.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday

Offsite call, every other week

Setting: 1 clinic day per week, remaining days are inpatient

Patient Volume: 15-20 per shift

Providing comprehensive treatment and supportive care services for benign blood disorders and all cancer types

Support Staff: 2 MDs, 3 nurses, cancer coordinator, and full clerical/support staff

Board certification required
