We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) and DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalists to. As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients. Your expertise and dedication are vital in ensuring the well-being and recovery of individuals in a hospital setting. This position involves managing and coordinating patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and making critical decisions to optimize patient outcomes.

As an MD or DO Hospitalist , you will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at delivering high-quality healthcare services within the hospital. Your role is essential in maintaining continuity of care, addressing acute medical needs, and promoting patient safety. Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work well under pressure are key to excelling in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Admitting patients to the hospital and conducting initial assessments.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive care plans for hospitalized patients.
  • Monitoring and managing the progress of patients during their hospital stay.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Collaborating with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Providing timely and accurate documentation of patient care activities.
  • Participating in patient and family education regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.
  • Responding to medical emergencies and providing appropriate interventions.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or a related specialty.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotations.

Schedule: 7p-7a, 7 on/7 off

Setting: Closed ICU

Will run codes

No procedures

Support Staff: Other nocturnists

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
