We are currently seeking experienced MD (Medical Doctor) and DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalists . As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients within the hospital setting. Your expertise and dedication are vital in ensuring the well-being and recovery of individuals in need of acute medical attention. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the care of hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges.
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Perform medical procedures as needed, such as intubations, central line placements, and lumbar punctures.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely intervention and stabilization.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
  • Stay current with medical research, guidelines, and best practices to deliver evidence-based care.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Ilwaco.
  • Proven experience working as a Hospitalist in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care model.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and safety.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off

Beeper call shifts required

Setting: 8-bed inpatient unit

Patient Census: 6 per day

EMR: Epic

Will accept new grads

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
