This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
As a Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating patient care, ensuring the highest standards of medical treatment and patient satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive medical services, support patient recovery, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients with a focus on internal medicine
- Perform daily rounds and assess patient progress
- Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Participate in hospital quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in internal medicine
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in New York
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred
Schedule: 7 on/7off
Shifts: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
No call requirement
Daily Volume: ~20 patients
Some procedures and vent management in the step-down unit are preferred
Will round with residents and medical students
Full subspecialty support
Must be board-certified
