As an Internal Medicine Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing primary care services to patients, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans to improve their overall health and well-being. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations of patients.
- Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic illnesses.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, X-rays, and EKGs.
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Queens.
- Strong knowledge of internal medicine principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Willingness to stay updated on the latest advancements in the field of internal medicine.
About the Opening:
- Schedule: 2 clinic sessions per day, 8a-5p, Monday-Friday
- Call: 2-week offsite blocks, semiannually
- Will supervise 2-4 residents per clinic session
- Will participate in resident noon conference, which includes delivering lectures
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible
