We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) t. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive medical care to women, focusing on reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating various gynecological conditions, ensuring the well-being of your patients.
As an MD/DO Ob/Gyn , you will be involved in a wide range of projects, from conducting routine check-ups and screenings to performing surgical procedures and assisting in childbirth. Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular gynecological examinations and screenings.
- Diagnosing and treating various gynecological conditions and disorders.
- Providing prenatal care to pregnant women, monitoring their health and the development of the fetus.
- Performing surgical procedures such as hysterectomies, C-sections, and laparoscopies.
- Assisting in labor and delivery, ensuring the safety of both mother and baby.
- Counseling patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Keeping accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as an Ob/Gyn.
- Strong knowledge of women's health issues, reproductive anatomy, and gynecological conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient consultations and teamwork.
- Ability to make critical decisions and work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Detail-oriented approach to patient care and medical documentation.
- Commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in Ob/Gyn practices and treatments.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
Call: 7x 24-hour delivery call shifts per month
Level II Trauma
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Monthly Census: 100-110 deliveries
Daily Census: 25-27 patients
Cases: Mix of outpatient clinic and deliveries on-call
Current Team Structure: 4 OB/GYNs, PAs, RNs, MAs
Must be board-certified
