Description
As a Pediatrician, you will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment and preventive care. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and provide education to families. This role is essential in fostering a supportive and healthy environment for our young patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions in infants, children, and adolescents
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide preventive care and health education to patients and families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Stay current with developments in pediatric medicine
- Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification in Pediatrics
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Washington
- Strong clinical skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education
- Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred
Schedule: 4x 10-hour shifts per week
Call Requirement: 1:4 rotation, covering 7-8 inpatient days per month
Shifts available at multiple outpatient clinics
Patient Volume: 15-20 per day, ~200 deliveries per year
Patient Population: Newborns through 18 years old
Must be available for the main hospital for emergencies and to attend some deliveries
Will attend scheduled births for high-risk pregnancies
EMR: AthenaHealth
Must be board-certified
