We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Psychiatry . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing psychiatric care to patients, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing treatment plans. Your expertise will be vital in improving the mental well-being of individuals and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse psychiatric cases, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and make a significant impact in the field of mental health.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Diagnose mental health disorders and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor medications for psychiatric conditions.
• Provide therapy and counseling to patients individually or in group settings.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and research in the field of psychiatry.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.

Requirements:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Psychiatry.
• Valid state medical license to practice Psychiatry.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Empathy and compassion towards patients with mental health challenges.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Call Requirement: 1 weekend onsite per month, 1 night by phone per week

Setting: 36-bed inpatient unit

Daily Volume: 12 patient encounters

Average Length of Stay: 12 days

Will treat a wide range of mental health and substance abuse disorders

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
