Description

We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Psychiatry. In  this role, you will play a crucial part in providing psychiatric care to patients, diagnosing and treating mental illnesses, and promoting mental health and well-being. Your expertise will be vital in improving the quality of life for individuals struggling with various mental health conditions.

As an MD/DO Psychiatry , you will be involved in a wide range of projects, including conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medication, and offering therapy to patients. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings.
  • Prescribe and monitor medication to manage mental health symptoms.
  • Provide therapy and counseling to patients individually or in group settings.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and research in the field of psychiatry.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry or eligibility for board certification.
  • Valid state medical license to practice Psychiatry.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatments, and medications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Empathy and compassion towards patients dealing with mental health challenges.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Schedule: 5x 8-hour shifts or 4x 10-hour shifts per week
  • No call shifts

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Patient Volume: 12-14 per day

Patient Population: Adults

1 hour for new patients, 25 minutes for follow-ups

TMS experience preferred

Current Team Structure: 1 MD, 4 PMHNPs, MAs, TMS technicians, full office support staff

EMR: AdvancedMD

Must be board-certified
