We are currently seeking an Associate MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Psychiatry  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing psychiatric care to patients, contributing to the overall well-being of individuals in need of mental health support. You will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health conditions, ensuring the highest level of care and support for patients.

As an Associate MD or DO , you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues. Your role will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress. This position is ideal for a compassionate and skilled psychiatrist looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications for mental health conditions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
  • Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
  • Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings.
  • Stay current on advancements in psychiatric treatments and modalities.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Valid state medical license to practice Psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Empathy and compassion for individuals with mental health challenges.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in clinical documentation.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

Call: 1 week of backup call every 8-12 weeks

Patient Volume: 6-8 per day

Patient Population: 16+ years old

Facility: 24-bed inpatient unit

Team Structure: Psychiatrist, social worker, medical students, residents

Must be board-certified
