Description

We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) and DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiologists. In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients through medical imaging. Your expertise will be vital in providing accurate and timely interpretations of various radiological studies, contributing to the overall healthcare delivery system. As a Radiologist, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, from conducting diagnostic procedures to consulting with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze diagnostic imaging studies such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms.
  • Communicate findings effectively with referring physicians to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of radiology reports while adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform image-guided procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages when necessary.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and techniques in the field of radiology to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and treatment.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Contribute to the education and training of residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Radiology.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Proficiency in using radiology information systems and PACS.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

About the Position:

  • Schedule: 7a-5p or 12p-10p, 7 on/7 off
  • No call requirement
  • Hybrid Setting: 7 shifts per month in Level I Trauma hospital, 8 shifts per month remote
  • Daily Volume: 80-100 cases
  • Cases: Body MR
  • Leadership Duties: Attend meetings, serve on committees, and oversee the department
  • Full subspecialty support
  • Workstation provided
  • EMR: Epic
  • Preferred Experience: 5+ years
  • Must be board-certified
