We are currently seeking entry-level MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Gastroenterology As a Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with digestive system disorders. Your expertise will be vital in providing high-quality medical care and improving the overall health of our patients. You will be involved in a variety of gastroenterology projects, from conducting diagnostic procedures to developing treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations with patients to discuss symptoms and medical history.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies.
- Interpret test results and make accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
- Prescribe medication and recommend lifestyle changes to improve patient health.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology research and treatment methods.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Empathy and compassion towards patients.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Madisonville.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p, or 4-day workweek with 9-10 hour shifts
Call Requirement: 10 days (including 1 weekend) per month
Patient Volume: 25-30 on clinic days
Cases: General GI, EUS, ERCP, and procedures
Support Staff: NP
Board Certification: Required
