We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Orthopedic Surgery. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing specialized medical care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing, treating, and performing surgeries to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life. You will be involved in a variety of orthopedic surgery projects, working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient consultations to assess musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRI scans, and blood work.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
  • Perform orthopedic surgeries including joint replacements, arthroscopic procedures, and fracture repairs.
  • Monitor post-operative progress and provide follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery and treatment modalities.
  • Ensure compliance with medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as an Orthopedic Surgeon.
  • Excellent surgical skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Schedule: 2 clinic days and 1-1.5 OR days per week

1:6 call rotation

Caseload: 80-85% hip and knee replacements, remainder is general orthopedics

Some opportunities to teach PAs, PTs, and residents

Support Staff: 5-8 surgeons and subspecialty support, PAs, PTs

Must be board-certified
