We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Radiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients by producing and interpreting medical images using advanced imaging technologies. Your expertise will be vital in providing accurate and timely diagnoses, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.
As an MD/DO in Radiology, you will be involved in a variety of projects ranging from conducting diagnostic imaging procedures to collaborating with other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Performing and interpreting a variety of radiologic procedures including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
- Collaborating with referring physicians to discuss and determine appropriate imaging protocols.
- Evaluating images for technical quality and diagnostic value.
- Providing accurate and timely radiology reports to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Ensuring patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Staying current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment options.
- Adhering to all regulatory requirements and safety standards in the radiology department.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting a wide range of radiologic studies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and patients.
- Ability to work efficiently and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting imaging results.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of Radiology.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Backup Call: 1:6 rotation, nights and weekends
Setting: Onsite
Daily Volume: 100 reads on average
Case Mix: 50% breast imaging, 50% general diagnostic
Procedures: Breast biopsies
Will accept new graduates
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
