Close collaboration with physicians is required to facilitate timely and appropriate patient services.
- Facilitates patient and family education, counseling, and teaching.
- Escorts patients to the examination room, gathers a brief history of presenting complaints, prepares patients for the examination, and records vital signs.
- Engages in clerical duties, including managing referrals, scheduling appointments with other physicians and facilities, completing forms, and answering telephone inquiries.
- Assists the physician during examinations and procedures as necessary.
- Stocks examination rooms and maintains instruments and autoclave equipment.
- Participates in the orientation of new personnel, particularly in nursing-related aspects.
- Administers injections as required.
- Attends staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
- Assumes charge responsibilities as needed in the absence of supervisory personnel.
- Performs additional duties or projects as assigned or required.
Qualifications- A minimum of 2 years of clerical experience is required.
- A high school diploma is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is not required.
- Please note that travelers will be expected to float between three locations, all situated within one to two miles of each other.
