We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director / Managing Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (MDVM) to spearhead our thriving small animal general practice located in Houston, Texas.

The Medical Director / MDVM will be instrumental in cultivating a positive, team-oriented culture within the hospital, fostering an environment where both veterinarians and support staff are empowered to provide exceptional medical care and exemplary client service. 

Working closely with the Practice Manager and Regional Operations Manager, you will offer medical direction, oversee the performance of associate veterinarians, and ensure adherence to veterinary regulations and standards of care.

**Qualifications:**

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or equivalent from an accredited veterinary institution

- Current veterinary license in good standing in the state of Texas

- Ideally, a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in veterinary medicine

- Preferred demonstrable leadership experience within a veterinary context

- Strong emotional intelligence paired with effective people-management skills

- A steadfast commitment to pursuing gold-standard veterinary medicine and ethical practices

- Proven capability in effective delegation and enhancing team performance

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clear and effective interaction.
