A Medical Technologist in this job:
- Follows set steps to prepare samples for testing.
- Collects samples and checks body fluids for any problems. This includes collecting blood and studying blood samples for transfusions.
- Uses laboratory machines carefully and effectively.
- Looks at test results to make sure they are correct and meets standards, then reports them according to the organization’s rules.
- Uses computers and machines for automated tests.
- Performs manual tests by following clear instructions from a doctor.
- Runs tests and checks results to share with patients, doctors, or nurses.
- Does Quality Assurance work to keep equipment accurate.
**Work Schedule**: 4 nights a week for 10 hours, with rotating weekends.
**Requirements**:
- Certification from ASCP, AMT, or similar.
- NV General Supervisor Lab license.
- At least three years of experience in the field.
