**Job Summary**
This job is about doing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tests. These tests help create detailed images of body parts like tissues and organs. The images help doctors find problems, make diagnoses, and provide treatment to patients.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Perform MRI tests on patients. This includes getting patients ready, explaining the procedure, giving contrast dye if needed, positioning them for the scanner, choosing the right imaging methods, and making sure the images are clear and accurate.
- Enter and monitor patient information.
- Check the MRI equipment to make sure it works well. Help with applications for accreditations.
- Report any accidents, patient complaints, or equipment issues to the department manager.
- Be on call for emergencies within the department.
- Provide safe care to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Support your own growth by completing required training and education. Help your team succeed and guide less experienced staff.
- Show care for everyone in the community by creating friendly and personalized experiences.
**Minimum Requirements**
- Education: Completed studies at a recognized School of Radiologic Technology.
**Licenses/Certifications:**
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, is required.
- One of these certifications is required:
- Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR); or
- Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
