**Job Specific Details and Responsibilities:**
The responsibilities of the Health Care Worker (HCW) encompass, but are not limited to, the following duties:
1. Conduct routine diagnostic radiological procedures and services as deemed appropriate for the respective Task Order (TO).
2. Adhere strictly to radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with the protocols established by the Radiology Department.
3. Submit the appropriate series of images to the radiologist for evaluation in accordance with Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) protocols.
4. Position patients accurately for examinations and implement necessary technical adjustments to ensure compliance with examination requirements. Assess if any special preparation of the patient is necessary.
5. Process digital images and submit them for interpretation by the radiologists.
6. Document all procedures and maintain records in adherence to MTF policies.
7. As directed, execute system calibrations and quality control tasks in accordance with manufacturer specifications and MTF policies. Identify any artifacts or equipment errors and promptly notify designated Government personnel regarding outlier values.
8. Initiate repair procedures for equipment malfunctions by informing designated Government personnel and record the relevant details in the trouble call logbook.
9. Observe and report to the radiologist any symptoms that may directly impact the patient’s condition, particularly in cases of adverse reactions to contrast media. Inform the radiologist of any conditions that warrant his or her immediate attention. Recognize the necessity for and implement emergency measures for situations requiring resuscitation procedures due to cardiac or respiratory arrest.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Education:** Possession of a certificate from an academic program that is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). -
**Experience:** A minimum of one year of experience as a radiologic technologist or in the specialty area specified. -
**Certification:** Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography. -
**Life Support Certification:** Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). -
**Security Clearance:** Capability to successfully pass a Government background check and obtain necessary security clearance.
