**Job Description:**
As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will be very important in providing high-quality care to newborn babies in hospitals. Here’s what you will do:
- Provide care in four Level-III NICUs (intensive care units for newborns) in the Las Vegas area.
- Help care for around 1,700 newborns and more than 10,000 births every year.
- Use advanced treatments for sick babies, such as:
- Special breathing machines (jet and oscillator)
- Inhaled nitric oxide therapy
- Cooling therapy for babies with brain injuries
- Help with transporting babies who need care and stabilize them in emergencies.
- Work closely with 16 doctors who specialize in newborn care and other pediatric doctors to ensure all the babies get the best care.
- Work at different hospitals and take shifts to provide care all day and night.
- Focus on improving the quality of care, mentor others, and keep learning in your profession.
- Support families as they go through the NICU experience with kindness and clear communication.
**Qualifications:**
- Must be Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine – THIS IS REQUIRED
- Must have a Nevada nursing license (or be willing to get one) – THIS IS REQUIRED
- A clean malpractice and license history is HIGHLY PREFERRED.
**Certification Requirements:**
- Must be Board Certified.
- State License Requirements: Nevada.
- Must have at least a Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
**Other Requirements:**
- Must obtain DEA and CSR/CDS certifications before starting the job.
