**Specific Tasks & Procedures:**

- Deliver comprehensive physician services aligned with privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).

- Supervise, perform, or facilitate training for health care professionals within the bounds of clinical privileges and responsibilities.

- Conduct examinations, diagnoses, and treatments, including the prescription of treatment plans, consistently within the framework of expertise and privileges.

- Offer preventive care and health maintenance, encompassing annual physicals, promotion of positive health behaviors, and guidance on self-care through educational outreach and counseling.

- Order relevant diagnostic tests as necessary and coordinate consultations or referrals with appropriate specialists, clinics, or other healthcare resources as warranted.

- Exhibit technical proficiency in mentoring and educating medical personnel, conducting educational lectures, and actively engaging in in-service training for clinic staff, maintaining adherence to governmental and professional clinical standards and protocols.

- Meet or exceed the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) benchmarks for Eglin Air Force Base concerning Relative Value Units (RVUs), recognizing that this standard is updated annually. The contractor is responsible for obtaining the most current documentation from Medical Logistics.

- Provide outpatient care, managing a routine workload comprising scheduled appointments, walk-ins, outpatient consultations, and telephone consults, as well as urgent or emergent care. The contractor's productivity will align with the MTF's patient care needs, access standards, and nephrology business plan goals.

- Coordinate nephrology services with other medical specialties in line with MTF policies, ensuring collaboration with specialty practitioners for consultative advice and continuity of patient care.

- Deliver medical evaluation, care, and treatment to healthcare system beneficiaries aged 18 and above.

**Work Schedule:** Standard Clinic Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9-hour shift between 07:00 AM and 4:00 PM. On-call duties required, with minimal callbacks.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Education:** Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school in the U.S. or Canada. - 

**Experience:** Minimum of 24 months of employment in nephrology practice or training within the last 36 months. - 

**Licensure:** Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in any state. - 

**Board Certification:** Current board certification in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. - 

**Internship/Residency:** Successful completion of a nationally accredited residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Nephrology approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the American Osteopathic Association's Committee on Postdoctoral Training. Candidates must also have at least one year of supervised clinical experience post-degree. - 

**Life Support Certification:** Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). - 

**Security Clearance:** Ability to successfully pass a government background check/security clearance.
