Description
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with urgent medical conditions. Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, you will ensure that patients receive timely and effective care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients in an urgent care setting
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute medical conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide patient education and counseling on health management
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
- Document patient interactions and care provided accurately
- Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and policies
Requirements
- Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice
- Experience in urgent care or similar healthcare settings
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred
Schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts per week, occasional weekend coverage
No call requirement
Patient Census: 35-40 per day
Patient Population: All ages
Required Procedures: Foreign body removal, suturing, I&Ds, and casting/DME fitting
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
