In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with urgent medical conditions. Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, you will ensure that patients receive timely and effective care. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients in an urgent care setting
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of acute medical conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
  • Develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health management
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
  • Document patient interactions and care provided accurately
  • Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and policies

Requirements

  • Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice
  • Experience in urgent care or similar healthcare settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred

Schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts per week, occasional weekend coverage

No call requirement

Patient Census: 35-40 per day

Patient Population: All ages

Required Procedures: Foreign body removal, suturing, I&Ds, and casting/DME fitting

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
