Description
We are currently seeking a skilled NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Neonatology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing advanced care to newborns in need of specialized medical attention. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and health of these young patients, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will be involved in a variety of neonatal projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting physical assessments and examinations of newborns in the neonatal unit.
- Developing and implementing care plans for premature or ill infants.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Providing education and support to families on neonatal care and procedures.
- Collaborating with neonatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in the neonatal team.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and medical records accurately.
- Participating in rounds, conferences, and case reviews to discuss patient care strategies.
Requirements:
- Valid NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) license.
- Specialization or certification in Neonatology.
- Strong knowledge of neonatal care practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking abilities.
- Capability to make quick and accurate decisions in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Level III NICU
Schedule: Friday-Monday, 3p-7a
Duties: Intubations, central line placement, peripheral arterial lines, attend high-risk deliveries, and ground and air transports
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
