In this role, you will perform important medical imaging procedures related to nuclear medicine on patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. You will do this under some supervision and keep detailed records to ensure everything is done correctly and on time, following the instructions given by doctors. 

You will also support your supervisor and radiologist in their tasks, helping to keep the Nuclear Medicine department running smoothly and efficiently. Building positive relationships with patients, their families, the doctors, and other staff members is essential, as teamwork is crucial for providing excellent care and maintaining a good atmosphere.

**Qualifications Needed:**

- You must have completed a training program in Nuclear Medicine.

- You should have a certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from the National Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or be registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon starting the job.

- You will need to have certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology in California upon hire.

- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is also required.

 

**Preferred Experience:**

- Ideally, you would have at least one year of experience working with medical imaging equipment similar to what is used at Mission Hospital.

- Experience with nuclear medicine procedures for both infants and adults is preferred.

- It’s beneficial to have experience with giving intravenous (IV) treatments to pediatric patients.

**Skills and Certifications:** - Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.

- Registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon hire is also necessary.

- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire is needed.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
