**Position Available: Nurse Practitioner / Neonatal Nurse Practitioner**
We are actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to enhance a dynamic Neonatology team within a Level III NICU. This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced inpatient care to neonates in a collaborative, physician-led setting, ideal for both seasoned professionals and recent graduates.
**Position Overview:**
The Nurse Practitioner / Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
- Delivering comprehensive inpatient management to neonates, including critically ill and premature infants, within a Level III NICU framework.
- Conducting thorough neonatal assessments, performing daily rounds, and overseeing the stabilization and ongoing care of high-risk newborns.
- Engaging in collaborative care planning and management in close partnership with on-staff Neonatologists.
- Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinating care with nursing staff and ancillary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilizing Epic EMR for precise and timely documentation of patient data.
- Providing education and counseling to families regarding neonatal conditions and treatment protocols.
- Adapting to a flexible work schedule, including 24-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shift patterns.
- Practicing within a structured, team-oriented environment rather than an autonomous setting.
- Adhering to hospital protocols and maintaining compliance with established quality standards.
**Qualifications:** - Board Certified in Neonatal NP / NNP (required by start date).
- Successful completion of an accredited NNP program (indicate in the "Additional Submission Details").
- Active Michigan state license.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications.
- Availability to work diverse 24-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, preferably Epic.
- Willingness to undergo a 3–4 month credentialing process.
- Clean malpractice history and active license history.
- Submission of a recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days of application).
**Certification and Licensure Requirements:**
- BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.
- Must meet the Michigan state licensure criteria.
- Completion of Neonatal Nurse Practitioner training and eligibility for hospital credentialing are essential.
- Strong emphasis on EMR proficiency, particularly with Epic.
