**Job-Specific Position Duties:**
The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver a comprehensive array of outcome-based Physician Extender services in accordance with the privileges granted by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), which involves supervising and providing medical screening and care, including examinations for patients experiencing routine, acute, and chronic conditions affecting various organ systems; administering immunizations; diagnosing, treating, and counseling patients as appropriate.
- Technically guide and educate other staff members, conduct evidence-based educational lectures, and actively participate in in-service training for personnel.
- Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, and minor trauma in alignment with established protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.
- Advocate for preventive care and health maintenance, which includes conducting annual physical examinations, promoting positive health behaviors, and encouraging self-care through formal education and individual counseling.
- Engage in communication and collaboration with a diverse array of individuals to inform the healthcare team of plans and actions, and to provide teaching and education that benefits patients, families, and the organization as a whole.
- Identify conditions necessitating isolation and ensure that universal precautions are observed in all patient interactions.
- Attend staff meetings to participate in case discussions, continue education efforts, and contribute to continuous quality improvement and safety initiatives.
**Work Schedule:**
This is a full-time position comprising five days per week (40 hours), Monday through Friday, with work hours structured as nine hours between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM, including a one-hour lunch break. There are no on-call requirements, weekend shifts, or holiday duties.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Education:** Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. -
**Experience:** A minimum of two years of clinical experience within the past three years as a Nurse Practitioner (NP). -
**Licensure:** Possession of a current, full, active, and unrestricted NP license from any state. -
**Clinical Certification:** Must possess certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), as applicable. -
**Life Support Certification:** Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC). -
**Security:** Candidates must possess the ability to successfully pass a government background check and obtain security clearance.
