**Job-Specific Position Duties:**
The responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver comprehensive, outcome-driven Physician Extender services in accordance with privileges established by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF). This includes supervising and conducting general medical screenings and examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions across all organ systems; administering immunizations; diagnosing, managing, and advising patients as clinically indicated.
- Provide technical oversight and education to fellow healthcare staff through evidence-based lectures and contribute to in-service training initiatives.
- Diagnose and manage patients presenting with common acute ailments, chronic health conditions, or minor traumatic injuries in alignment with established protocols, clinical practice guidelines, and relevant Nurse Practice Acts, and/or through collaborative consultations with a supervising physician.
- Advocate for preventive healthcare and routine health maintenance, which includes conducting annual physical examinations, promoting positive health behaviors, and facilitating self-care education through both structured and individualized counseling sessions.
- Engage in effective communication and collaboration with a diverse multidisciplinary healthcare team to relay pertinent plans and actions, as well as to advance educational efforts benefiting patients, families, and the broader organization.
- Identify conditions that necessitate isolation protocols and ensure the implementation of universal precautions during all patient interactions.
- Participate in staff meetings to engage in case discussions, further education, and initiatives focused on continuous quality improvement and safety.
**Work Schedule:** Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with operating hours spanning from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break. No on-call, weekend, or holiday duties required.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
- **Experience:** At least two years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) within the last three years. - **Licensure:** Active, unrestricted NP license valid in any state.
- **Clinical Certification:** Must possess current certification from either the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), as appropriate.
- **Life Support Certification:** Maintenance of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
- **Security Clearance:** Eligibility to pass a federal background check and security clearance.
**Incentive:** A signing bonus of $15,000 is offered.
