**Main Duties for the Nurse Practitioner (NP):**
- Provide a complete range of healthcare services based on the permissions given by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF). This includes checking patients for regular and urgent health issues, giving vaccines, diagnosing, treating, and advising patients as needed.
- Teach and guide other staff members, offer educational talks based on evidence, and participate in training for staff.
- Diagnose and treat patients with common health problems, long-term illnesses, or minor injuries by following established guidelines and rules, and consulting with a doctor when necessary.
- Encourage preventive care and maintaining good health, such as yearly check-ups and promoting healthy behaviors and self-care through group and individual education.
- Work together and communicate with different groups of people to share information about health plans and actions, as well as to educate patients and their families.
- Identify health conditions that need special care and ensure safety guidelines are followed during all patient interactions. - Attend staff meetings to discuss cases, continue learning, and improve quality and safety of care.
**Work Schedule:**
- Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours each day, between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM
- No work on weekends or holidays - No on-call duties or callbacks
**Minimum Qualifications:
**
- **Education:
** A Master’s degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioners from an accredited program. -
**Experience:** At least 2 years of work experience in primary care within the last 3 years. -
**License:** A current, active, and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner. -
**Board Certification:** Certification from ANCC or AANP for Nurse Practitioners, or the appropriate national certification organization based on the specialty area (like pediatric or women’s health). -
**Life Support Certifications:** BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross is required. -
**Security:** Must pass a government background check and obtain a government security clearance.
