A well-known healthcare group is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team. This is a full-time night position (7 PM to 7 AM) in a respected hospital that helps many patients with serious injuries.
Shift(s) Description:
12-hour overnight shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
**Job Duties:**
The Nurse Practitioner will:
- Provide care for trauma and surgery patients during the night.
- Evaluate patients, order tests, and create treatment plans.
- Take care of patients who have had emergencies or surgery while they are in the hospital.
- Assist surgeons with procedures and ongoing care for patients.
- Work independently but also work with doctors and other healthcare team members.
Keep records of all patient care using Epic EMR (an electronic health record system).
- Follow hospital rules and regulations.
- Ensure patient safety and quality care.
**Important Notes:**
- No temporary or part-time jobs available.
- Fresh graduates cannot apply. You need at least two years of experience in trauma surgery or have completed a surgical fellowship.
**Qualifications:**
- You must have a Master’s degree in Nursing from an approved Nurse Practitioner program.

— [REQUIRED] - You must be eligible to apply for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid.
— [REQUIRED] - A clean record with no malpractice issues.
— [PREFERRED] - No legal sanctions or exclusions from health departments.
— [REQUIRED] - Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. — [REQUIRED]
- Experience in trauma surgery (2 years preferred) or completion of a surgical fellowship is highly preferred. — [PREFERRED]
**Certifications Needed:**
- ANCC Certification - BLS Certification
- Board Certified
- DEA Certification
**State License Requirements:** - You need to have a Nurse Practitioner License in Colorado and the required certifications for BLS.
