Requirements

**Position Overview: Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP)**

**Coverage Purpose**: Temporary access during recruitment phase  

- **Duration**: Immediate start for 6 months with an extension option  

- **Work Environment**: Outpatient clinic  

**Responsibilities**:   - Focus on follow-up appointments for patients on treatment, scheduled at intervals of 3, 6, and 12 months.  

- Engage in coordination of care through emails with ancillary services. 

- Responsible for ordering oncology-related tests and refilling prescriptions.  

  - Manage a patient panel composed of follow-up and on-treatment individuals, dependent on candidate’s capabilities.  

**Schedule & Availability**:  

- Working hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, involving four 10-hour shifts per week, with a preference for flexible scheduling.  

- No on-call responsibilities required.  

**Patient Load**:   - Anticipated caseload of approximately 20 patients per day, with additional duties related to administrative tasks such as emails and follow-ups.  

**Support Structure**:   - The NP will be assisted by Medical Assistants (MAs) and Case Managers responsible for care coordination.  

**Electronic Medical Records (EMR)**:  

- Utilization of EPIC system for patient documentation and management.  

**Qualifications**:   - Candidates must be Board Certified Nurse Practitioners.  

- Onboarding and credentialing expected to take 45-60 days post-application submission.  

- Licensing candidates are eligible for consideration.
