In this role, you will deliver essential anesthesia services, collaborating closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care. Your expertise will play a crucial role in improving patient outcomes and driving the success of our medical practice.
**Specialty:** Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
**Coverage Duration:** Immediate start for 3 months (13 weeks), with potential for extension.
**Practice Environment:** Hospital and surgery center setting.
**Shift Schedule:** Primarily Monday through Friday, with possible weekend assistance on an infrequent basis (maximum of once per month). Shifts may be structured as either 5x8 or 4x10, with hours from 11 PM to 7:30 AM or 9 PM to 7:30 AM.
**Clinical Responsibilities:** CRNAs must be proficient in managing healthy pediatric patients, with obstetrical experience preferred but not mandatory. While full-spectrum anesthesia capabilities are advantageous, they are not a strict requirement. The focus will be on lower acuity cases, as all critical pediatric cases will be handled by a Pediatric Anesthesiologist. Typical cases include orthopedics, pediatric procedures, urology, gastrointestinal procedures, interventional radiology, head and neck surgeries, catheter lab procedures, spinal surgeries, and epidurals.
**On-Call Requirements:** No on-call duties expected.
**Patient Population/Daily Volume:** Case load will vary according to the scheduled procedures for the day.
**Provider Support Model:** 1:1 ratio of CRNA to Anesthesiologist per shift.
**Electronic Medical Records:** Utilization of EPIC system for documentation.
**Required Certifications:** Candidates must possess current Board Certification along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
