**SUMMARY:**
The person in this job will be in charge of making sure the payroll department runs well. This role needs someone who is experienced, a good leader, can build strong work relationships, and knows a lot about payroll systems.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Set up, keep up, and check the payroll processing system to make sure payroll is done on time and correctly. This includes salaries, deductions, and taxes.
- Make sure new hires, job terminations, and pay rate or tax changes are processed accurately and promptly.
- Keep accurate records and reports.
- Follow all rules about payroll, wages, and work hours from federal, state, and local governments.
- Look into and fix any payroll mistakes quickly.
- Run reports when asked.
- Create and check W-2 forms.
- Prepare and send in monthly, quarterly, and yearly taxes for U.S. and international locations.
- Stay updated on tax laws in all states and countries where the company works.
- Research what happens to the payroll department when we open new locations.
- Work together with Benefits, HR, Finance, and other departments to build and maintain good business relationships.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Help the HR department with other tasks when needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**
- At least two years of experience in payroll management is needed.
- Experience with taxes and international tax laws is a plus.
- Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and Excel, are required.
- Knowledge of U.S. state pay laws is important.
- Experience with ADP (a payroll system) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage different tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Attention to detail is very important.
- Must provide excellent customer service while staying friendly and professional.
